A Philosophy of Practice

"Every consultation starts with understanding what bothers the patient, what they notice in the mirror, and what change would make them feel more confident while still feeling like themselves."

— Dr. Moustafa Mourad, MD, FACS

Clinical Departments

MouradNYC offers comprehensive facial surgical care across aesthetic, functional, and reconstructive disciplines. Each department has a dedicated clinical pathway and procedure-specific consultation process — and Dr. Mourad's dual training allows aesthetic and functional concerns to be planned together when they overlap.

Meet Your Surgeon

Dr. Moustafa Mourad, facial plastic surgeon in New York City.

Dual Board-Certified · AAFPRS Fellowship Director · 923 Fifth Avenue

MouradNYC is a single-surgeon facial plastic surgery practice on Fifth Avenue, built on the principle that work on the face should be considered, not rushed. Dr. Mourad personally guides each patient — from the first consultation through rhinoplasty, facelift, or nasal and sinus airway surgery and into recovery — keeping the practice deliberately focused rather than high-volume.

His training spans both the appearance and the function of the face, so a single evaluation can address how the nose looks and how it breathes, or how the face ages and how its underlying structure holds. Form and function are planned together rather than treated as separate problems — the foundation of his approach to revision rhinoplasty and complex facial reconstruction.

The academic appointments, teaching roles, and reconstructive credentials behind that approach are set out in full on his profile. What patients tend to value first, though, is the consultation itself — time to understand the anatomy involved, a candid discussion of what is and isn't worth doing, and a plan shaped around the individual face.

Philosophy of Care

Patient-led listening, followed by careful anatomical analysis.

Dr. Mourad does not begin by telling patients what is wrong with their face. He takes time to understand each concern from the patient's perspective first, then studies the anatomy in detail to determine what is actually driving it. The plan that follows is matched to that anatomy — not chosen from a default menu.

For Facial Rejuvenation

Dr. Mourad considers how the deeper facial tissues, neck, jawline, cheeks, and skin all contribute to the changes the patient is noticing. The goal is to restore balance in a way that looks natural, refreshed, and emotionally true to who the patient is.

For Nose Surgery

Dr. Mourad evaluates the internal airway alongside the external shape, so changes in contour are planned with long-term structure and nasal function in mind. A nose that looks better but breathes worse is not a successful operation.

For Sinus & Reconstruction

Diagnosis comes before any operative recommendation. Medical therapy is optimised first; when surgery is the right answer, the operation is matched to the specific anatomy and pathology rather than chosen by default.
